I’m standing for BAME Rep to help build a liberated, campaigning and socialist Labour Students.

The pandemic has shown that working-class students, students of colour and marginalised students are hit hardest by an education system that treats us as consumers, not learners. I’m standing for a Labour Students that leads the fightback to win a decolonised, democratised, accessible education. Labour Students must be a campaigning student wing inside and outside the Party, holding it to the promise of free education.

I will use my experience as a CLP branch organiser and Women’s Officer to build relationships with anti-racist and anti-imperialist groups across the labour and student movement. I will set up networks of BAME students; facilitating anti-imperialist political education, activist development and anti-racist community building. Labour Students must provide a space where students of colour can come together to build the skills and resources we need to win on our campuses, in our workplaces and our communities.

Together we can organise against securitisation, Prevent, and unethical investments – lobbying our universities and colleges to divest from fossil fuels, war and apartheid.

I’m proud to be standing with the support of Momentum and trade unionists to fight for a socialist future.

Fight for a socialist future. Join the campaign.
