Kieron Warren

Hi, I’m Kieron (he/him). One of the first university events I attended was my Labour Club’s LGBTQ+ caucus. Still out of my comfort zone at university, this safe space helped develop my socialist politics. It gave me the confidence to get elected to Warwick Labour society’s committee, where I helped deliver socialist political education, build student-staff solidarity, and elect socialists in our Students’ Union and to Parliament.

I’m standing for Labour Students LGBT+ Officer to continue that fight for solidarity. Labour should be a safe space for queer political education, a welcoming home for LGBT+ students and a campaigning force for our liberation.

I will work to create a queer and trans-inclusive Labour Students which stands with trans members let down by our Party. I’ll support Labour Clubs campaigning against transphobia, build networks of LGBT+ students, and run political education workshops – helping Labour Clubs develop skills and resources.

From inadequate access to healthcare, homelessness, exclusion and poverty – too many LGBT+ students are at the hard end of the cost of living crisis. The solution must be a socialist one.

I’m proud to be standing with the support of Momentum and trade unionists to fight for a socialist future.

Fight for a socialist future. Join the campaign.
